Can You Hear Me??

HEARING PROTECTION LIKE NO OTHER! As if 31dB of noise reduction wasn’t enough for Walter’s Razor “X” Digital Ear Bud Headsets. The electronic hearing protection and enhancement buds work flawlessly for shooters or hunters. I am highly impressed also with the new lightweight design that sits comfortably aound the neck. This around the neck design has retractable ear buds, it is out of the way from cheek welds on shotguns and traditional rifles or AR-pattern rifles. The Razor “X” package includes two different styles of noise reducing foam tips. There are four different sizes to ensure a proper fit for maximum noise reduction. Walker’s Razor “X” ear plugs also come with a cord for recharging and a wall adapter, along with a Walker’s bag for storage. Included are instructions which are very clear and easy to understand. The rechargeable LIPO battery, 250 mAH battery powers the Razon “X”, providing 10 hours of use. Battery life is prolonged by an auto-shutoff function that engages after four to six hours. Simply push any button on the unit and hearing enhancement returns back on and the timer restarts. These buttons also retract the ear bud cords. Because they are designed at an impressive 31dB of noise reduction, they allow for very loud environments without damaging hearing. This places the Razor “X” ahead of the rest in protection offered by earplugs and ahead of what many popular earmuffs deliver. The widely used green Howard Leight over the ear noise cancelling muffs only have a 22dBNRR. The plugs passed my extreme protection tests when I stood behind a 300 Win Mag rifle firing and didn’t flinch. I would normally flinch with each round fired wearing standard electronic ear muffs. The Hi Gain omni-dirctional microphones provide clear sound enhancement allowing you to hear firearm instructors’ directions while training or for casual conversations on the range. The Razor “X” HD digital speakers provide a wide range of audio quality that enhances the users’ experience. The standard electronic ear muffs hurt my ears and head after weaing them for less than thirty minutes. They also got in the way of my cheek weld. I had to constantly reposition the muffs and then the recoil would displace them. The cost: $119.00—– Protecting your hearing while enjoying clear conversations on the range or in the woods……PRICELESS! Guest Blog- Stay Cool with this Conceal Carry Bellyband!

TODAY, there are more and more women and men who choose to conceal carry. As a woman who conceal carries myself, often times it is hard to find just the right holster that offers safety, comfort and allows you to wear normal clothing without the holster printing. The Comfort-Air Bodyband, by Telor Tactical, not only gave me safety and comfort, but after wearing and testing it for weeks, I found it was better than most of the others because it is made with medical grade materials. This “stretch to fit” gun holster design also fit my firearm snugly, close to my body, which I loved. The holster also has a perforated non-slip pad which maintains holster position for safety and closeness to the body. Because it is made with an anti-microbial fabric, the Sil-Air Silicone pad allows air flow from within the pad. I used the appendix position (at my hips) and the chest position (under my chest) and I was able to tuck my shirt in with no signs of PRINTING. This holster was easy to reholster and I was pleased that the holster did not collapse when the gun was drawn. As with any new holster, it became more of a fluid withdrawal with practice. While wearing the bodyband without an undertank, there were no irritations to my skin. I wore the bodyband throughout an entire week on my bare skin. It felt very light and comfortable for the entire time of wearing it. The airflow design kept me cool and dry in the summer heat while running errands. There were no roll ups nor bunching up from this holster band, even while seated. The band holster maintained it’s position on my body without shifting regardless of which of the two positions I used. The Comfort-Air Bellyband works for all bodyshapes because you can adjust the band size and place the holster where needed. The main reason Telor Tactical’s Comfort-Air Bellyband is my favorite bellyband is because it allows me to carry during extremely hot weather or while running. Get it while it’s HOT ladies or gents! DESCRIPTION: VERSATILE concealed carry or as an ITW Lightweight and durable Airflow design keeps you cool and dry Patented Sil-Air Silicone Foam pad – can’t feel the gun Contoured band maintains a flat shape Perforated non-Slip pad holds holster positions Secure gun retention Stretch-to-fit holster design All day wearability High quality commerical grade materials Made in the USA Machine washable, air dry Extended Sizes: small to 4x Compact or Sub-compact Custom orders 1 year warranty Lifetime warranty on materials and workmanship   TelorTactical Tarra Stoddard Is a native of Greenville,...

Hunting…In the Buff!!

Ha Ha… got you to click – but this is without a doubt, my favorite accessory in my camo wardrobe!  The Original Multifunctional Headwear  has so much going for it.  Where do I start?  Well, I love it in the warm months to ward off mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, and most other bugs with its odorless  repellent. With the recent storm, mosquitos are terrible this hunting season.  I wore my Buff this past weekend and I had no bites.  Did not see any deer, but I was comfortable and had a great time! It protects your neck, face, or head depending on how you want to use it. With over 12 different ways to wear it, the usefulness in outdoor adventures is endless. From a do rag to a hair band, it serves me well year round.   I love the fact that it is odorless, comfortable and the insect repellent lasts over 70 washes.  In cold weather it is my number one necessity to stay warm.   Not doubt you could call it function with a little bit of fashion!  Must have!!! Essential Gear: Binoculars!

Essential Gear: Binoculars!

One of my husband’s good hunting buddy and friend, Phillip gave me this very sound advice, “Don’t use your scope to locate and identify game.   Invest in a really great pair of binoculars.  I took his advice and I bought a great pair –  Leupold at Bass Pro .   I never understood this until I bought mine.  Now it is a must. I even invested in a BinoHub which allows you to carry your binoculars for quick and easy access. When hunting you need to be able to distinguish between an animal you would consider taking and one you shouldn’t.  Here are some examples: Many outfitters will fine you if you shoot a button buck which is easy to mistake for a doe.  Since a doe is small, sometimes they are very hard to distinguish from a young buck. Button bucks are just beginning to grow their antlers and have small knobs at their skull. Button bucks have a very triangular face. Also, they are not real experienced so they will be playful and unafraid of noise and movement. Does on the other hand are very cautious and will stop frequently to make sure their surroundings are safe unlike the button buck who acts like they don’t have a care in the world. Also, many times outfitters will restrict the number of points on the buck’s rack as well as a minimum spread between the antlers.   This can get real tricky if you don’t have a great pair of binoculars. For me, I have a problem with night vision.  The binoculars give me an edge  to be able to see that early deer at dawn  or that last shot of the day at dusk.  I love my binoculars!     Share this:FacebookTwitterPinterestGoogleRedditLike this:Like...

A “Good” Snake!

A “Good” Snake!

Yes,  there is a very good snake, BoreSnake Viper  made by Hoppe’s and I just tried mine out after dove hunting and love it.    It is good practice to clean your gun as soon as possible after using and this great tool lets you do just that before you leave the field.   It has 50% more cleaning power than the previous version and is very easy to use.  You can use it to do a quick cleaning and inspection or use it to perform your thorough cleaning after using your gun.  Check out the YouTube instructions on their web site.  You will soon agree that it is a very good snake!!
